Inspired by Media Technology and Cultural change class, I edited two pretty well known Wikipedia pages. First I edited Andrew Sullivan’s page. This may seem like a minor edit, but I thought it made an important substantive change, and it made me feel important.

Next I got a little more ambitious. I was surprised to see Facebook’s new chat feature, and I though wikipedia should know about this. So I did this and this.

It will be interesting to see how the community takes my changes…

  1. And your Facebook edit has already been reverted for lack of source citation! The question is how do you prove to someone that the feature exists (which it does) when it cannot be “cited” except as to say that it is usable within the FB site?
